Ever since I read the book the #Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge (Scribe Publications), I have been consuming loads of data on the way the brain works (in the simplest terms) and I get really excited by it!
Why? Because we can retrain our brain so that our thoughts are better, our opportunities are greater and more of the world is opened up to us.
The old adage of ‘use it or lose it’ is true. The more brain space we take up with good productive ideas the more they will emerge in our thoughts. We can begin to shift bad memories, old relationships and replace them with thoughts of gratitude and happiness.
What consumes your thoughts at the moment? What do you want to leave behind to make room for more learning? Set yourself a daily mind task where you focus on the memories that make you happy. The more you do it the more times those thoughts that pop into your head are good ones. Take the gratitude challenge or check out #gregariouspeach on facebook and her documenting delight in her life.
