I love the end of the year and the time to plan for 2014. I know it’s going to be a great year!
I start my planning with a year at a view calendar and mark all the significant events that will impact on my business – in a positive and negative way. Grab a calendar in the boxing day sales and do the same!
Start by noting the public holidays – yours and those of the countries you do business with.
If you need to get organised for school holidays and curriculum days –note those too. Are you having holidays?
Have a look through last years diary and budget notes – where are your sales peaks and troughs and where are the costs peaks and troughs? Can you expect the same for the year to come? How are you going to manage them?
Now set yourself some goals for each quarter personal and business goals. Mark them on the calendar too. Where do you want your business to be this time next year?
December is the perfect time to reflect and celebrate all you have achieved and set yourself up for a prosperous year ahead.
Relax and enjoy the festive season, but don’t let January disappear altogether!
