I love it when people come up with new ideas and follow through to make their dreams a reality. My clients have developed Fork Mate? which is breaking new ground in the forklift industry in Australia with a new range of universally adaptable forklift accessories designed to improve safety and the productivity of fleets. Watch this space.
I believe it is almost impossible to run a successful business unless you are of good mental and physical health. Yoga sustains me. It is a non-negotiable part of every day.
I love that Yoga is a journey, not a destination. There is so much variety and you can always improve on every pose. Try it!
My diary is filled at the start of the year by locking in time with the people I love and doing the things that bring me joy. Concerts, dinners, birthdays. Put time into activities that you love to do before the day-to-day consumes you.
The brain is a magical instrument. We can alter the way our brain operates by challenging it in the simplest of ways. For example by practising gratitude we are more likely to recall joyous moments than we are sad ones. Choose something new to focus on or learn. If you don’t use it you lose it!
Elephants and humans have a lot in common. We are born with brains similar in structure and complexity and we share the ability to be compassionate. We can also be constrained by our past. Think about the things that have been holding you back from success and make some changes.
The ‘Toothbrush Principle’
Every time we brush our teeth, we put our toothbrush back in the same spot. Why don’t apply this to more parts of our lives. It dumfounds me that people scramble around to look for keys / phones / wallets/ sunglasses. Have a place for everything. When we hand over things that don’t matter to routine we give our brains the space for more important things.
