It’s autumn, it March – where has my summer gone?
All of a sudden it feels like the days are shorter, the nights are longer, and the weather is changing. It’s a signal that it’s time to adjust to this new rhythm of life. Like nature, business cannot afford to sit still, we need to constantly adjust to the outside conditions.
Like the autumn leaves its time to shed and renew and make way for new growth.
What do you need to drop? You will find ‘low hanging fruit by reviewing your systems and processes. Do you have out-dated software, cumbersome customer databases, clients who are more trouble then they are worth. Go through your profit and loss and see what savings you can make. Where are the unnecessary pockets of expenditure? Is your promotional activity delivering outcomes?
What needs to be renewed? What product developments do you have in the pipeline that might need to be accelerated? In reviewing your profit and loss take note of the products and services that are delivering the most value to your business. Revise your feedback forms and see if you can find clues to improve your current offerings. What needs to go to make-way for better growth opportunities?
Successful businesses are dynamic and are constantly re-inventing what they do to meet their customers needs and re-affirm why they exist. Opportunities don’t necessarily fall at our feet we have to go out and find them.
